Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Maintenance Mechanic who will work in a profile related to anticipating trends around taste, nutrition, and safety to innovate and provide solutions to manufacturers, retailers, and food service companies.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 18 years old

Work Experience

  • Possess at least 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess a Millwright certification
  • Able to perform maintenance trades including electrical, machinist, welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication, rigging systems, gearbox and bearing, lubrication, pumps and
  • Able to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
  • Experience with SAP or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Forklift certified
  • Working knowledge of inventory systems
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Completing preventative, predictive, and reactive industrial maintenance throughout the facility
  • Documenting completed work and the conditions found, utilizing maintenance computer software as necessary
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Utilize and work with maintenance trades and components such as pumps, tanks, motors, mixers, augers, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs., kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Basic use of a computer
  • Must be able to operate machinery or industrial equipment
  • Must be able to perform maintenance trades including mechanical maintenance

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
