Job Profile
The company is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic who will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance using manufacturer publications, blueprints, schematics, and locally generated instructions.
Must be familiar with OSHA and NEC standards.
Required to follow work procedures, work on facilities and production equipment, as well as perform general maintenance.
Must be able to work on all Production and Facility equipment.
Education Level
- Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience
- 2 years Post-Secondary/Associate’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
Work Experience
- Requires a boiler Certificate/License within a year of start date. Freon recovery license within 2 years of employment.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Conduct preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, electro-mechanical and mechanical work.
- General shop upkeep, cleaning, or organizing.
- Install new equipment.
- Perform boiler maintenance: Troubleshoot, monitor and repair boilers.
- Production machinery upkeep, repair, maintenance, general welding, electrical maintenance, repair HVAC equipment millwright activities, or carpentry.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Considerable knowledge and understanding of service and installation processes of industrial equipment.
- Continued education in a maintenance discipline and cross-training in other disciplines within the department will be required as needed.
- Must be available to work any shift, weekends, or holidays and be on call as required.
- Must be very safe and environmentally conscious.
- Qualification for respirator and breathing air devices and work on fire/rescue teams.
- Valid state-issued Driver’s License.
Desired Qualifications
- Training from a trade school or college is a plus.
- Strong experience/training in one of the following: Mechanical, HVAC, Boiler, or Electrical.
- State License in any of these fields is a plus.
