The company is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Work Experience
- 2+ years of machine maintenance, installation, and repair experience with diagnosing and troubleshooting
Duties/Responsibilities
- Complete required paperwork and inspections for maintaining records and ensure proper functioning of equipment and systems through preventive maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate the installation or movement of machines, equipment, and systems both internally and externally. This includes the layout, assembly, and installation of pipe, electronics, and electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electronic and electrical units, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Diagnose and repair problems with pneumatics, mechanical, or hydraulic components of equipment or systems.
- Diagnose machine problems, notify appropriate leadership, and troubleshoot problems with the internal maintenance team or outside vendors.
- Flexibility to work overtime and during times of critical need.
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical systems in an aerospace case repair facility.
- Maintain physical building structures including general fabrication of metal components and assemblies involving bending, forming, cutting, and welding components for work processes and spaces used in the repair facility.
- Replace or repair faulty elements of equipment/systems including motors, relays, and switches.
- Responsible for recognizing when a job requires the expertise of a certified, licensed tradesperson.
- Set up sensing mechanisms and use a variety of tools to complete maintenance tasks.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications
- Calibration of CNC machines
- Experience conducting predictive maintenance routes (ultrasonic, infrared)
- Experience with Chillers, HVAC systems, and Furnace operations
- Metal fabrication experience
- PLC experience; familiarity with schematic and electrical diagrams, blueprints, or illustrations
- Specialized technical certifications, training, and licenses
- Waste management, RCRA
