Job Profile

The company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for maintaining reliability at a 30,000 cwt/day wheat flour mill.

Maintains ADM’s high standards for Safety and Quality with a heavy emphasis on Maintenance Reliability.

Be good communicators who can nurture outstanding relationships as part of a self-directed work team.

Identify and decisively solve problems as they arise and maintain records following established ADM policies.

Be part of a self-directed team as small as 2 members and up to 35.

Education Level

• Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

• Experience with and use of technical measuring tools in millwright trade
• Experience with or willingness to learn forklift and scissors lift operations

Duties/Responsibilities

Maintenance-

• Assists external departments
• Base all decisions, perform acts, and personify yourself in the best interest of the company
• Continually train and develop maintenance team members.
• Maintains records under established ADM policies and procedures
• Optimize equipment efficiency, personnel safety, and product quality by budgetary parameters
• Perform mechanical maintenance on equipment and facilities of a plant that produces flour and feed products as part of a self-directed team.
• Proactively seeks and supports the plant goals and vision under ADM Milling’s strategic vision
• Proactively support operational excellence initiatives.

Health, Safety and Environmental-

• Coordinate and participate in audits, prioritizing and tracking the completion of findings.
• Ensure that unsafe behavior and conditions are corrected.
• Facilitate and ensure adherence to safety regulations, rules, and sound practices.
• Perform Safety audits and set the example for safety.

Sanitation/Food Safety-

• Ensure the facility maintains world-class sanitation standards.
• Prepare the facility for, and participate in, regulatory/third-party/customer/company audits.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Basic electrical skills are a plus
• Basic knowledge of machine mechanical systems acquired through training or experience
• Basic welding skills
• Must be able to hear and speak clearly, read, comprehend, and communicate orally and in writing.
• Must be willing to participate in team on-call rotation schedule.
• Must have a strong commitment to employee safety
• Must have a confident and courteous manner.
• Position requires standing and walking for long periods, climbing stairs and ladders, working with tools, working within close-confined spaces, and working in extreme temperatures.
• Require excellent command of the following leadership, problem-solving, self-motivation, and organizational skills.
