Job Profile

The company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic III who will maintain and repair all factory equipment and facilities.

Uses electrical, pneumatic, and hand tools.

Interprets drawings, schematics, and technical data.

Performs electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic repairs and maintenance.

Develops tools and fixtures.

Maintains maintenance item inventories.

Orders parts and components.

Coordinates with and directs contractors and vendors performing facility and equipment maintenance.

Implements preventive maintenance program.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution (required)

Work Experience

• Minimum of 1 or more years of work experience in a maintenance/facility role

Duties/Responsibilities

• Adding to gas system plant-wide for upgrade/changes/additional cells/equipment
• Assemble and maintain high-pressure lines throughout the facility
• Assembly of test stands, installing components, tubing between components
• Assist with vendor management.
• Change coolants, soluble oils, filters, and cleaning components of machines as called for by schedule or as required by supervisors.
• Coning and threading of high-pressure tubing
• Following a prepared schedule, lubricate machines and equipment using specified lubricants.
• Lead a wide variety of duties by assisting or responding to directions from experienced craft personnel in painting, carpentry, pipe fitting, electrical, mechanical, or general utility work, as required.
• Lead in the installation of testing and machine equipment.
• Lead in the construction, plumbing, or wiring of equipment, as required.
• Maintain necessary maintenance records indicating preventative maintenance dates
• Maintenance/upkeep of all gas pumps and related systems – rebuilding of pumps
• Operate and maintain all equipment under the maintenance department’s jurisdiction, such as forklift trucks and snow blowers.
• Operate common hand and power tools, such as hand drills, saws, hammers, pliers, wire cutters, soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
• Overhaul pumps, and change filters.
• Perform minor plumbing repairs or installations, such as sink traps, leaking faucets, faulty air or vacuum lines, and other general preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Perform necessary 5S functions.
• Perform scheduled maintenance duties and some repair work.
• Support safety team, Confined Space, Hazmat, Crane/Hoist, High-Pressure Testing, Hot work permitting forklift, and lock-out-tag-out processes.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all types of regulators, valves, gas booster pumps, and relief valves
• Work from blueprints, free-hand sketches, or verbal order, as required.
• Work from ladders and man lifts, as required.
• Other duties, as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 months or more experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining regulators, valves, gas booster pumps, and relief valves
• Ability to drive standard transmission/box truck (non-CDL)
• Pneumatic Certification

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to safely operate hand tools
• Basic computer skills
• Confined space training and experience
• Forklift training and experience
• Lock out, tag out training, and experience
• Read and interpret blueprints and tape measure
• Safety training and experience

Others

• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY to be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation
