Job Profile
The company is searching for a Maintenance Mechanic III who will provide services on the CNC machines, tools, and other complicated and intricate tasks allowing the site to meet the production goals of building components to support both commercial and military customers.
Education Level
- Typically requires a High School Diploma and 2 years of experience OR
- In the absence of a High School Diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant experience
Work Experience
- Training may take place on the 1st shift for 6 months to 1 year.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Consult with vendors and equipment manufacturers on repairs or upgrades.
- Coordinate with necessary machine operators or management to schedule work orders/PMs and verify the success of repairs.
- Maintain work and storage areas per the 5S requirements.
- Perform a wide range of complicated and intricate tasks in the Maintenance Department including operating, designing, programming, fabricating, assembling, installing, modifying, calibrating, repairing, and performing regular maintenance of manufacturing equipment, precision machine tools, electronic or robotic equipment, and other accessories.
- Research, acquire, install, and inspect repair components as needed to complete machine tool repairs.
- Successful completion of hearing and PIV physical exams
- Training required in lock out/tag out, hazardous energy, confined space, power industrial vehicles, fall protection, and scissor/boom lifts.
- Troubleshoot/diagnose evaluate and operate test results on machine tool and PLC issues using electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic test equipment, as required.
- Utilize Maintenance Software Package for developing and documenting standard operating instructions, spare parts database, assigned turn back repairs, QCPC Projects and turn back collection.
- Utilize required material handling and lifting devices while performing duties.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree Electro-mechanical program or equivalent.
- Experience in the manufacturing environment
- Experience with PLC and other industrial electronics.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple computer applications (including email, internet, and other job-specific applications).
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and create basic blueprints and schematics.
- Lifting Requirement should be no more than 25 pounds. Anything more than that requires lifting assistance.
- Must be able to climb stairs or ladders.
- Must be able to stand for 2-hour increments without an opportunity to sit with or without reasonable accommodation.
