Job Profile

The company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic Technician who will assist in working on projects that will improve current processes in the manufacturing of carpet underlay.

Education Level

• Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

• 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and installing bearings, sprockets, and chains.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Complete work orders as assigned on time
• Perform preventative maintenance
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to diagnose and replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment.
• Ability to follow manuals, schematic diagrams, and blueprints using hand tools and test equipment to connect power supply wires to machines and equipment.
• Ability to learn how to operate lift truck, scissor lift, and aerial lifts; and eventually certified.
• Ability to use power tools such as grinder, drill, saw, and drill press.
• Available to work on required Saturdays.
• Be detail-oriented, well-organized, have good on-time attendance, and be self-motivated.
• Fully support and participate in Safety, Environmental, Quality, and Continuous Improvement Programs.
• Maintain equipment and do basic repairs as needed.
• Must have own tools.

Desired Qualifications

• Previous experience operating a lift truck, scissor lift, or aerial lift.
• Electrical certification
• Welding experience
