Job Profile
The company is looking for a Maintenance Millwright who will maintain all equipment to the required standards, be responsive to line calls, and provide support for preventative and failure-based maintenance as required by the needs of the plant.
Installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- VO Tech. or Millwright training (preferred)
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Demonstrates a strong team member attitude while being able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Documents work, modifications to equipment, etc.
- Maintains conveyors, auger systems, cables, and packaging equipment.
- Reads equipment drawings and documents
- Recommends changes, modifications, or upgrades of equipment to improve machine reliability and performance
- Repairs and rebuilds pumps
- Troubleshoots mechanical failures
- Works within established safety standards and practices
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- A strong knowledge of the OHSA and other applicable safety standards.
- Applicant must have regular, prompt attendance.
- Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within industrial maintenance.
- Candidate must be able to work in all weather conditions
- Experience with pumps and pump alignments, conveyors, safe rigging practices, hydraulics, cutting, grinding, and welding.
- Good communication skills, and ability to work under time constraints.
- Have the ability to climb stairs, perform some lifting, sit and stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work with heights, bend, and kneel.
