Job Profile

The company is looking for a Maintenance Millwright who will maintain all equipment to the required standards, be responsive to line calls, and provide support for preventative and failure-based maintenance as required by the needs of the plant.

Installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• VO Tech. or Millwright training (preferred)

Work Experience

• Possess work-related experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a strong team member attitude while being able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Documents work, modifications to equipment, etc.
• Maintains conveyors, auger systems, cables, and packaging equipment.
• Reads equipment drawings and documents
• Recommends changes, modifications, or upgrades of equipment to improve machine reliability and performance
• Repairs and rebuilds pumps
• Troubleshoots mechanical failures
• Works within established safety standards and practices

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• A strong knowledge of the OHSA and other applicable safety standards.
• Applicant must have regular, prompt attendance.
• Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within industrial maintenance.
• Candidate must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Experience with pumps and pump alignments, conveyors, safe rigging practices, hydraulics, cutting, grinding, and welding.
• Good communication skills, and ability to work under time constraints.
• Have the ability to climb stairs, perform some lifting, sit and stand for long periods, work in confined spaces, work with heights, bend, and kneel.
