Job Profile
The company is looking for a Maintenance Person to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
Work Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience (required)
- Maintenance operations experience in industrial manufacturing is required. Experience with Lean Manufacturing (preferred)
- Metal fabrication skills and welding (Mig/Tig) experience (a plus, but not required)
- Prior experience using a CMMS (a plus)
- Requires experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLCs.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Able to perform essential job functions outside of normal working hours.
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Maintains facilities and grounds in a clean, well-kept, and efficient operating manner as needed.
- Maintains production and quality requirements by performing troubleshooting, installation, routine maintenance, and repair of mechanical manufacturing equipment.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by implementing 6S. Complies with all Company and Federal safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Responsible for pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic operations of equipment.
- Other duties not listed herein but which need to be accomplished to maintain safe and timely day-to-day operations of the plant.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to interpret and work from pencil sketches and diagrams.
- Ability to use and maintain a computerized maintenance work order notification system.
- Ability to work independently of others, as well as with a team to resolve issues.
- Capable of developing standard work instructions for equipment.
- Familiarity with air compressors, heating, and air conditioning, plumbing, welding, electrical/electronic equipment, pneumatics, hydraulics, and heavy manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trades involved.
- Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the job.
- Requires strong skills in math, reading, writing, and time management.
- Skill in the care and use of tools and equipment used in the trades involved.

Working Conditions
- May be required to lift up to approximately 35 pounds.
- Must be able to stand at a workstation for a long period of time.
- Must be able to travel throughout the facility to obtain information needed to perform job functions.
- Must be able to use both hands in a repetitive motion.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, fumes, and dust particles.
