Job Profile
The company is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent who will oversee and coordinate maintenance operations of edible beans in the region.
Responsible for maintaining dry edible processing and packaging equipment. The equipment must be kept in a manner to meet the safe, and successful day-to-day operational activities while maintaining a sanitary workplace in compliance with company policies and regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA, QA, etc.).
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in engineering or maintenance.
Work Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance leadership in an agricultural or industrial processing environment (required)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple assignments/tasks
- Assist in completing operational tasks at the facilities when required
- Carry out inspections of equipment to identify and resolve issues in alignment with Preventive Maintenance Plans.
- Complete and upload maintenance records
- Coordinate maintenance schedules for all facilities in the area.
- Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
- Ensure Health and Safety policies are complied with
- Maintain food safety standards following the Quality Assurance program.
- Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
- Monitor expenses, and assist facility management in controlling maintenance budgets.
- Plan and oversee all installation, repair, and upkeep of equipment within the facilities in conjunction with facility management
- Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with production, administrative, sales, and management teams
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Computer skills which include proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common business applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Inter-personal skills include handling conflict, motivation, instructing, and training personnel respectably and fairly.
- Must demonstrate high-level problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Solid understanding of the technical aspects of industrial agricultural processing equipment, fabrication/welding, and electrical systems.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
- The ability to climb stairs, periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces, from heights, bending, kneeling, and the ability to lift 55 lbs.
