Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor who will be responsible for training, scheduling, and the overall leadership of hourly maintenance employees.  This includes contract maintenance activities for the location operations.

Key objectives include adherence to safety standards and production expectations.

Education Level

• An Associate’s Degree in a Skill Trades Capacity (college/university)

Work Experience

• 2 or more years of supervisory experience or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• 2 or more years of supervisory experience or equivalent

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to complete and or ensure competent tasks in general maintenance, welding, and electrical are completed to meet safety and production expectations.
• Ensure compliance with Company, Local, State, and Federal rules and regulations.
• Lead and develop the hourly maintenance workforce.
• Leads operations to establish production, safety, and environmental objectives and metrics.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Microsoft Office products, JDE, and other software as needed
• Performs incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
• Responsible for supervising maintenance activities, which include underground and surface mine maintenance, plant operations, and servicing all equipment.
• Responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance activities to meet safety and production expectations. Create work orders before work begins and close them out within 24 hours of completion
• Work with management on preventive maintenance needs for the plant and mobile equipment
• Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

• Operates frequently in a maintenance and operations environment in an underground and surface mine location.
• Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Occasional travel will be required.
