Job Profile
The company is searching for a Maintenance Supervisor who will be responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of the maintenance department functions and programs.
Directs and coordinates support services.
Education Level
- Post-High School Education (required)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance area
- 1 to 3 years of experience managing people
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assists in interviews and hiring processes
- Coaches counsel employees, and initiate discipline as required
- Coordinates maintenance activities with the operating department’s requirements
- Develops and implements preventative and other maintenance programs to ensure proper equipment operation
- Develops, implements, and supervises the plant’s Preventive Maintenance program
- Evaluates the performance of subordinates
- Identifies, researches, and resolves problems
- Leads employees in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
- Maintains records of repair/maintenance activities, per Company policy
- Orders supplies and parts as required, at competitive pricing and rates
- Orientates and trains maintenance personnel
- Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures
- Performs regular/preventative maintenance on all machinery, tools, and buildings
- Prepares other reports as required
- Repairs machinery, equipment, buildings, and other Company assets following diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturing specifications, or by management request
- Performs other duties as required
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous wage and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
- Preferred understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business software
- Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
- Working knowledge of the use of precision tools, measuring instruments, and other hand tools
