Job Profile

The company is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor who will be responsible for the direct supervision and coordination of the maintenance department functions and programs.

Directs and coordinates support services. Training and development of its employees.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; some creativity and latitude are expected; works under the supervision of a manager.

Educational Level

  • Post High School Education (required)
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Work Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in machine repair and maintenance area; 1 to 3 years of experience managing people

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assists in interviews and hiring processes
  • Coaches, counsels employees, and initiates discipline as required
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with the operating department’s requirements
  • Develops and implements preventative and other maintenance programs to ensure proper equipment operation.
  • Develops, implements, and supervises the plant’s Preventive Maintenance program
  • Evaluates the performance of subordinates
  • Identifies, researches, and resolves problems
  • Leads employees in continuous improvement and safety initiatives
  • Maintains records of repair/maintenance activities, per Company policy
  • Orders supplies and parts as required, at competitive pricing and rates.
  • Orientates and trains maintenance personnel
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety rules and procedures
  • Performs regular/preventative maintenance on all machinery, tools, and buildings
  • Prepares other reports as required
  • Repairs machinery, equipment, buildings, and other Company assets following diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturing specifications, or by management request
  • Performs other duties as required

  • Ability to understand basic verbal and written instructions in English; ability to read and write basic English
  • Ability to work hours mandated by management
  • Demonstrates ability to handle responsibility and be accountable for actions/decisions
  • Demonstrates ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and operating manuals
  • Preferred understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures
  • Proficiency in PLC, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting, as well as hydraulics.
  • Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and welding
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, and other business software
  • Working knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulations
  • Working knowledge of the use of precision tools, measuring instruments, and other hand tools

Working Conditions

  • The working environment is favorable.
  • Requires standing and walking for 75% of the time, talking, hearing, and seeing are essential duties; sitting at a desk for long periods is also required.
