Job Profile

The company is searching for a Maintenance Supervisor who will manage all maintenance crew necessary to ensure plant operations: installation, maintenance, and repair of machine tools and equipment, electrical systems, heating/cooling systems, facilities, structures, or equivalent

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in industrial maintenance
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a maintenance technician

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assure safety standards are used that comply with all company, local, City, State, and Federal guidelines.
  • Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor, or outside contractors.
  • Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
  • Coordinate outside services for lawn care and snow removal.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors, service providers, and contractors as needed
  • Develop, implement, or evaluate maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all work-related activities in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
  • Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs.
  • Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
  • Oversees general building maintenance repairs and services
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines and cranes.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts.
  • Responsible for alerting the Operation team of any unusual occurrence or damage that has taken place or that may occur.
  • Responsible for the creation and completion of all maintenance service requests
  • Responsible for the effective planning, directing, and coordinating of all aspects of maintenance projects to staff
  • Special projects and other responsibilities as may be determined
  • Track repair and maintenance expenses in addition to capital expenditure requirements for machines, equipment, and tooling to ensure expenses are within budgeted amounts.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to apply commonsense and understanding to carry out detailed and written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • The ability to read, comprehend, and implement lock-out tag-out procedures is required.
  • Knowledgeable of OSHA regulations
  • Must be familiar with metal fabrication concepts and processes.
  • Must have experience with the maintenance of fabrication equipment.
  • Must perform all duties in conjunction with UAI and ISO requirements
  • Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills.

Work Environment

  • Ability to perform in a manufacturing environment that may have high noise levels, dust, chemicals, oil, and grease.
  • Ability to work in an environment that may be either hot, cold, or humid.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, twist, stoop, pull, push, assemble, and carry for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds regularly, frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds with an assist.
