Job Profile
The company seeking a Maintenance Tech Specialist – Pipefitter who will handle hydraulic/combustion repairs and perform quality repairs and troubleshooting.
Ideally, be competent in performing equipment repairs to varied mechanical and fluids systems including changing problem components and performing preventive maintenance on these systems.
Educational Qualification
- No education level is mentioned, yet having a High School Diploma will be a plus
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of heavy industrial/maintenance experience or 4 years of apprenticeship certification (required)
- Experience with fabricating light gauge guarding and repair of metal products using Mig Welders, Tig Welders, Arc Welding, or Stick Welding is considered a plus
- Experience with hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, and combustion systems is required
- Experience with mounting and set equipment (rigging experience desired), repairing mechanical transmission equipment, repairing fluid power systems, general equipment breakdown maintenance, and heavy equipment experience is considered a plus
Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading the completion of more complicated and specialized fluids troubleshooting and repair tasks
- Responsible for making complicated decisions on how a hydraulic/combustion repair is to proceed and performing quality repairs the first time
- Work together with or leads the operating crew to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
- Work with the production team for constant improvement
- Perform administrative duties as assigned including completion of work order documentation and data entry into the computerized maintenance system
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Must be able to work swing shift and overtime as required
- Understanding infrared, acoustics, and other predictive maintenance practices is considered a plus
