Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Maintenance Technician who will troubleshoot systems and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on various equipment, while always keeping safety as a priority.

Maintain, troubleshoot, and provide continuous improvement suggestions resulting in minimal downtime of manufacturing equipment in the assembly area.

Support installation and modification of equipment to ensure quality control requirements are met and process enhancements are realized.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • 2-year Degree from a Technical College and a minimum of two years on-the-job training with a heavy industrial manufacturing facility in skilled trade capacity

Work Experience

  • Possess a minimum of 1-year experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Welding experience
  • Robot experience, teaching points, and troubleshooting

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and installation of new/improved manufacturing equipment, components, and processes
  • Assist in determining spare parts requirements
  • Assist team members with running lines/presses
  • Ensure equipment meets NEC, OSHA, and Magna regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation
  • Maintain the integrity of safety devices including light curtains, safety gates, barriers, etc.
  • Make modifications to existing equipment as required
  • Minimize downtime by effective use of resources including response time, technical expertise, tools, spare parts, and external contacts.
  • Perform PM inspections as required, complete with all repairs
  • Provide support for machine improvements
  • Train operators and new team members on fixtures, control panels, etc.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of various manufacturing equipment
  • Perform other duties as required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • General knowledge of industrial maintenance with an emphasis on electrical, mechanical, or controls application (preferred)

Additional Information

  • Ability to read and understand schematics
  • Ability to use testing and troubleshooting equipment
  • Basic Electrical Theory
  • Basic knowledge of AUTOCAD
  • Basic knowledge of electrical components
  • Basic understanding of services and variable frequency drives
  • Computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
  • Motor Control, PLC, and Ladder Logic
  • Must be able to pay good attention to detail
  • Must be able to provide own tools needed for the position
  • Must be able to work extended hours as needed to meet customer requirements
  • Must have a basic knowledge of drafting (blueprint reading, dimension drawings, etc.)
  • Must have a general knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Must have a good understanding of rigging, cranes, etc.
  • Must have good mathematical and communication
