The company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its team.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

  • Possess 5-10 years of relevant experience with CNC/PLC/Electricity and welding
  • 2-3 years of experience working in a solid metal fabrication/machining environment is required, with preferable knowledge of STERIS equipment

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Aligns, adjusts, and calibrates equipment according to specifications.
  • Assist with facilities maintenance, furniture moving, equipment set up for meetings, etc. Operates lifts, tow motors, jacks, and hoists as needed.
  • Converses with equipment operators to troubleshoot problems with equipment before breakdown and to determine if a breakdown is due to human error or mechanical problems.
  • Follows all applicable quality and safety rules and guidelines.
  • Maintains and operates low-pressure steam boiler and air compressors.
  • Maintains and repairs electronic equipment, and industrial controls following blueprints and manufacturers’ specifications and using hand tools and test instruments.
  • Maintains maintenance records as required.
  • Make or modify fixtures, tooling, or equipment according to close tolerances, simple blueprints, or engineering sketches. When necessary set up, operate, and adjust production equipment to process materials for the assembly of new or existing products or processes.
  • Replaces defective components and wiring and adjusts mechanical parts using the appropriate hand tools.
  • Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operations and electronic units and systems to diagnose the cause of the malfunction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Working knowledge of CNC, PLC, and Electricity up to 480V is required.
  • Ability to read/understand blueprints, equipment manuals, and industrial standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and react appropriately to shifting priorities and rapid change.
  • Demonstrated a high level of performance, professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Demonstrated skill set to maintain, troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical and mechanical production equipment including basic PLC troubleshooting, in order to support the requirements of Operations.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Reading, writing, and basic math skills required.

Preferred Experience

  • Fork Lift Operator experience (preferred)
  • Welding knowledge in carbon steel (preferred)
