Job Profile

The company is looking for a Maintenance Technician who will repair, install and replace electrical equipment and appliances.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Adheres to safety procedures
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
  • Conducts tests to locate mechanical/electrical system malfunction.
  • Dismantles devises to gain access to and remove defective parts.
  • Examines the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
  • Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines.
  • Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
  • Installs conduit and runs wires through conduit.
  • Installs electrical components in accordance with electrical codes.
  • Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
  • Lubricates and cleans parts.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly maintenance shop.
  • Maintains repair records.
  • Observes mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Reads and understands blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Repairs electrical equipment.
  • Repairs or replaces defective parts.
  • Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
  • Starts devices to test their performance.
  • Tests wiring connections with test equipment like volt/ohmmeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Uses machine tools in installation, maintenance, or repair.
  • Utilizes braze-welding equipment as needed.

  • Soft Skill – Self-disciplined, problem solver, take charge attitude, proactive root cause identification, troubleshooting with team/problem solve, leadership stability, personality, team-oriented, urgency, willing and eager to learn.
  • Hard Skill – Hydraulics, pneumatics, intermediate electrical, power transmissions, mechanical ability, blueprint interpretation, troubleshooting, PLC, diagnostics, preventative maintenance, safety (LOTO), expense containment, and foundry.

Physical Demands

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 90 pounds.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
