Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- 2-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (required)
- Experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining overhead cranes
- 1-3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Capability to work up to 480-volt Electricity and troubleshoot controls and voltage.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
- Examines the form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
- Initiates purchase orders for parts and machines.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
- Installs special functional and structural parts in devices.
- Lubricates and cleans parts.
- Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
- Repairs or replaces defective parts.
- Sets up drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.
- Starts devices to test their performance.
- Troubleshooting and repair experience with CNC Machinery
- Welding experience and welding equipment knowledge
- May perform other duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, electrical schematics, HYD schematics, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug test.

Working Conditions
- Frequently exposed fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, noise, and vibration.
- Occasionally exposed to a variety of conditions within a manufacturing environment. The company provides engineering controls, PPE, and regular training to mitigate the employee’s exposure to these elements.
- Availability to work overtime and Saturdays.
