Job Profile

The company is seeking a Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for the maintenance of fleet vehicles and test equipment, including overhead cranes, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, etc.

Educational Level

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Training in vehicle/construction equipment repair (preferred)

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of directly related experience working with electrical systems (including computerized induction/ignition systems, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems), HVAC and building systems, welding, and power and hand tools
  • Craft apprenticeship or equivalent production maintenance experience
  • Must possess (or be capable of obtaining) and maintain a DOT medical examiner’s certificate to drive a company commercial vehicle, if applicable

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, rebuild, and repair vehicles and equipment
  • Execute work orders and work independently
  • Follow and enforce all safety requirements and company policies
  • Perform inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Perform other work as required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders in the English language
  • Ability to travel as business needs dictate
  • General understanding of building construction techniques
  • Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in vehicle, equipment, and building repair and maintenance
  • Knowledge of the tools and equipment required to perform job duties, and experience using power and hand tools
  • Mechanical skills, including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair
  • Physical ability to routinely lift at least 75 pounds
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, crouch, bend, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, push, pull, etc. as required to perform job duties
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record (required)
