Job Profile
The company is looking for a Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, mechanical checks, construction, installation, moving, repairing, and maintenance of the machines at our facility, disposing of hazardous materials, and other duties and projects as assigned.
Runs primarily Index, Hurco, and Mori-Seiki CNCs.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship (preferred)
Work Experience
- 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.
- Experience with Okumas and Moris (preferred)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Detect faulty operations, and defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.

- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and equipment.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines and equipment.
- Proper handling and disposal of regulated waste.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to exert heavy physical effort and lift 20-50 lbs.
- Ability to read and understand drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Capable of working on keeping track of several projects at a time.
- Capable of working with little or no supervision.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough knowledge of servicing/troubleshooting/repairing CNC mills and lathes.
Working Conditions
- Constantly working in shop-like conditions.
- Frequently moves maintenance/shop equipment weighing 20 to 50 pounds occasionally.
- The person in this position frequently walks throughout the shop to assist with maintenance needs
