Education Level

• Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus
• Must be 18 years or older

Work Experience

• Possess work-related experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Using hand tools to perform maintenance on production machinery
• Ensuring food safety and quality
• Cleanliness and housekeeping

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous production or maintenance experience
• 4 years of maintenance experience
• Previous Cargill experience
• Work history in the past 12 months
• Must know OSHA regulations governing this area
• Candidates should be currently enrolled or have completed an apprenticeship program, or have an equivalent educational background
• Experience in solid-state controls and devices including PLC. Frequency drives and HIM is a plus

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read/write/speak English
• Ability to work with a variety of hand tools
• Must be able to understand and use blueprints, schematics, and installation/operation manuals to install and repair equipment
• Extensive knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical principles
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts
• Accuracy, precision, and dependability are a necessity
• Must be a self-starter and have good communication skills
• Must be a team player, but also must be able to work well alone
• Specific eye requirements: No contact lenses allowed in the engine room when welding or electrical troubleshooting and repair
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
