Job Profile

The company is looking for a Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for general maintenance and the repair of equipment throughout the facility in a safe and productive manner.

  • 5-7 years of prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with other maintenance workers to determine the best course of action for required tasks.
  • Cross-train on a variety of equipment, interpersonal skills, and technology as needed or directed by the Supervisor or Manager within the department.
  • Equipment installations/moves: Ability to support equipment moves, installations, and modifications as needed.
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions related to quality and product standards.
  • Follow all safety procedures and requirements. Report accidents, near misses, or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor/manager.
  • Knowledge of electrical: Ability to run primary service to equipment, troubleshoot control circuits, and efficiently use a meter. PLC programming is a plus.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics: Ability to plumb in air supply, troubleshoot valves, cylinders, and general equipment.
  • Perform maintenance activities on utility systems to provide a continuous supply of heat, electrical power, gas, or air required for manufacturing operations.
  • Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic prints, and other written instructions.
  • Responsible for on-site manufacturing equipment predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and troubleshooting ability, including the use of tools, meters, etc.
  • Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and professionally influence individuals, internally and externally, across all levels, functions, and geographies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills
  • Good Work History Including Attendance
  • Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance, exercising discretion and independent judgment.
