Job Profile

The company is looking for a Maintenance Technician who will perform work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or the structure of an establishment in repair. The duties may involve pipe fitting, boiler making, insulating, welding, machining, carpentry, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment, and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent

Work Experience

  • 1 or more years of experience in maintenance work
  • Welding experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA requirements.
  • Analyze repair requests and troubleshoot them.
  • Attend job training and safety programs organized by the maintenance department.
  • Complete daily work assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Experience in assist in developing preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Handle emergency maintenances and repair works.
  • Inspect transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
  • Install, maintain and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
  • Maintain the maintenance tools and equipment in safe, clean and good working conditions.
  • Maintain work area clean, safe and organized.
  • Operate maintenance equipment safely to avoid accidents.
  • Perform general electrical maintenance.
  • Perform installations, assembling, fittings, repairs, and replacements as needed.
  • Perform maintenance tasks based on pictures, blueprints, written descriptions and oral instructions from Supervisors.
  • Provide assistance to co-workers when needed.
  • Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
  • Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
  • Stock adequate maintenance materials and equipment to avoid shortages and excesses.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of testing devices.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to install and troubleshoot 110V and 480V applications
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding job that includes heavy lifting and standing
  • Able to work from scissor lift/not afraid of heights
  • Solid understanding of a variety of repair techniques and tool operation
  • Strong mechanical abilities including hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Work overtime or weekends as needed.

Work Environment

  • Ability to grasp and manipulate large and small items
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift various materials including aluminum, steel, and parts
  • Ability to see details at close range while reviewing inventory information
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work outside in all seasons of weather
