Job Profile

The company is hiring a Maintenance Technician who will assemble, set up, adjust, lubricate, maintain, and repair all types of equipment. The equipment includes, but is not restricted to: cranes, welders, mobile equipment, dust collectors, bins, rails, fuel tanks, irrigation, construction equipment, electrical, plumbing, sewage, paint, and blast.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

Work Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of industrial or military maintenance experience working in a general industrial maintenance shop with 480 volts, 3-phase electrical circuits, or equivalent mechanical competency.
  • Completion of a 1-year technical training certificate in an electro-mechanical degree program may be substituted for work experience, or a 2-year technical associate degree in an electro-mechanical field may be substituted for work experience.

License/Certification

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Pre-employment/post-employment qualification test, if applicable.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Always maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • May fabricate special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or other schematic drawings.
  • May perform the duties of a welder in the repair of equipment.
  • Read and sign off on JSA before starting of shift.
  • Repairs equipment such as internal combustion engines, air compressors, pumps, etc.

Essential Job Duties-

Level C (Demonstrated proficiency in the following)

  • Interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits.

Level B (In addition to level C qualifications, demonstrated proficiency in the following)

  • 3 years of industrial or military maintenance experience, having the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair 480 volts, 3-phase electrical circuits, or equivalent mechanical competency.
  • Mobile equipment repair, including but not limited to forklifts, mobile cranes, etc.

Level A (In addition to level B qualifications, demonstrated proficiency in the following)

  • 5 years of industrial or military maintenance experience, having the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair 480 volts, 3-phase electrical circuits, or equivalent mechanical competency.
  • Repairing overhead traveling bridge cranes, semi-gantry cranes, and jib cranes
  • AC and DC drives, programmable logic controllers, and solid-state devices

Work Environment

  • Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, or overhead; carrying objects, tools equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
