Job Profile

The company is searching for a Maintenance Technician who will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of trucks and building systems to ensure optimal performance and safety. The key responsibilities include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, conducting preventative maintenance, and responding to emergency repair requests.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of trade school/trade program (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Proven experience as a truck mechanic or commercial vehicle technician.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the CK Core Values through behavior and words
  • Assist Building Maintenance as needed with projects and repairs
  • Conduct minor on-site repairs to a variety of trucks and trailers, including lights, wiring, and other mechanical & cosmetic issues
  • Conduct truck, trailer, and tire inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Follow and enforce all safety guidelines and requirements, including proper personal protective equipment for employees and visitors
  • General Understanding of Electrical Systems (fleet and building low voltage)
  • Light fabrication and welding repairs
  • Light Maintenance of passenger vehicles (spark plugs, brakes, oil changes)
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services performed.
  • Plowing snow
  • Other duties, as assigned, within the job classification and business

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Brake Training and certifications are a plus
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools and repair equipment
  • Strong knowledge of truck systems, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record; CDL Class A is a plus

Work Environment

  • Work in noisy, loud conditions, which at times will require PPE
  • Work in all seasons of outdoor weather conditions

Physical Demands

  • Ability to bend, stoop, and move frequently
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Performing repetitive motion utilizing arms, shoulders, and legs
  • Standing for long periods
