Job Profile

The company is seeking a Maintenance Technician with electrical/mechanical aptitude to help sustain a robust preventive maintenance program.

Responsible for repairing and installing production/manufacturing equipment.

Education Level

Work Experience

  • 3+ years of Industrial Mechanical/ Electrical Maintenance Experience to include:
  • Troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns, diagnostics, problem solving).
  • Drive Components, Belts, chains, Clutches & Brakes, etc.
  • Electricity and Electrical systems from – 480V 3-phase – 24V control
  • Mechanical systems (e.g., gearboxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings).
  • Pumps (e.g., troubleshooting, replacing seals/motors, understanding specs).
  • Forklift and manlift experience.

License/Certification

  • Professional technical training or certificate program in industrial maintenance, mechanics

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Comply with GMP, safety, and audit standards
  • Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.
  • Documentation of work schedule and work tasks completed
  • Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per the manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Perform a breakdown analysis
  • Perform general housekeeping
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment using Maximo software
  • Repair all production equipment as needed
  • Upgrade production lines with new equipment/technology
  • Work independently under limited supervision (self-management)
  • Work with outside contractors working on the assigned line

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively with the team/management.
  • Basic rigging knowledge
  • Electrical systems (e.g., starters, fuses, contacts, relays).
  • HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, PPE, Lockout/Tagout, etc.
  • Knowledge of SERVO (e.g., intelligent/robotic motors, in-coders, etc.).
  • Material fabrication and welding skills.
  • Must adhere to all ISO Quality Standards
  • Must be ready to work in a collaborative team environment, including non-maintenance personnel.
  • Pneumatics/air compression (solenoids, valves, cylinders, motor brakes, reading, troubleshooting).
  • Preventative maintenance (computerized preventative charts/data).
  • Product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs).
  • Reading mechanical drawings (e.g., mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics).
  • Schematics (e.g., electrical blueprints with switches, starters, maps, relays).

Work Environment

  • Requires work near heat, noise, gas, and chemicals.
  • Requires frequent lifting, climbing, standing, walking, crouching, squatting, bending, and kneeling.
  • The position may require weekend or holiday work.
