Job Profile

The company (NOV Rig Technologies) is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join its team.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants require a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

• Possess a minimum of 10 years of experience performing maintenance of CNC Maintenance Machine Mechanic
• Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment (a plus)
• Prior experience dealing with robots (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Communicate and listen to operators, vendors, and other maintenance personnel to ensure the production readiness of machines.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
• Perform adjustment of repair of items as required.
• Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance duties that detect early signs of failure or maladjustment.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment and facilities.
• Work from machine design drawings, specifications, and handbooks.

Facility/Group Specific Duties

• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
• Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and change work schedules
• Will be required to adhere and comply with API regulations, OSHA regulations, QMS, company policies, and safety and environmental regulations

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Advanced knowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an understanding of machine tools
• Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
• Must possess basic math skills including but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material removal
• Working knowledge of electrical, electronic, power, hydraulic and pneumatic systems

Job Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and competing priorities or unexpected events
• Communicates with supervisor and other facility employees as it relates to the job
• Completes and verifies critical equipment maintenance every day
• Operates a forklift and lifting devices for the movement of parts. Troubleshoot forklift and lifting devices in event of failure
• Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on own tools and equipment
• Should be capable of performing routine maintenance on all machine tools, welding machines, test bay, and paint shop
• Verifies proper documents and other safety and compliance requirements are met prior to the start of work
