Job Profile

The company is searching for a Maintenance Technician (Cement Plant) who will report to the Shift Supervisor and work on rotating shifts.

Expected to work with little or no supervision while performing maintenance on equipment necessary for the manufacturing of cement. Shift (A and C Crew)

Education Level

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

• Prior experience in the maintenance of heavy process machinery in the cement industry (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Inspect plant process machinery and provide recommendations for repair
• Install and repair plant process machinery
• Operate equipment such as boom lifts, cranes, forklifts, and other related mobile equipment

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language.
• Ability to repair and rebuild plant equipment with little or no supervision.
• Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility.
• Knowledgeable of MSHA standards and requirements.
• Must be able to exhibit competence in shielded arc welding & flame cutting.
• Must be able to read & understand operations and maintenance manuals, drawings, and schematics.
• Must be able to read gauges & keep accurate records of operating procedures and maintenance history.
• Must be able to utilize various measuring devices (micrometers, square, level, etc.).
• Must know about pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Must place personal safety and others’ safety as no. 1 priority.
• Pass required physical examination and drug screens.
• Preferred knowledge of all types of equipment used in the manufacturing of cement.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, ice, rain, and high humidity.
• Be required to work in all plant environments and will be exposed to vibrating equipment and mechanical and electrical hazards.
• Must have the ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
