Job Profile
The company is searching for a Maintenance Technician I to join its team.
Education Level
- Must have High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Basic cutting/grinding/welding
- Cleanliness and housekeeping
- Documenting daily work assigned on paper and in the maintenance management system
- Ensuring food safety and quality
- Identify problems and make suggestions to improve operational processes
- Operate PIT (Powered Industrial Truck)
- Perform basic electrical troubleshooting tasks
- Perform printer setups and editing for code-dating products
- Properly align belt/chain drive setups
- Read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Repair/rebuild various gearboxes according to manufacturer specifications
- Repair/Troubleshoot production equipment
- Utilize MRO system
- Utilize parts in inventory to repair equipment and follow procedures for documenting usage
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous industrial maintenance experience
- Two-year degree that relates to the maintenance field
- Experience using a powered industrial truck (PIT)
- Previous Cargill experience
- Work history in the last 12 months
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must know hand and power tools
- Willingness to participate in HAZMAT membership, at minimum supporting role
- Have state-issued operator driver’s license
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
