Job Profile

The company is looking for a Maintenance Technician II who will perform basic preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and emergency maintenance on all equipment.

Basic understanding of fabrication and welding; good communication skills are a must in reading, writing, and verbalizing, calipers, and basic shop math.

Educational Qualification

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)

Work Experience

  • 3 to 6 years of manufacturing experience
  • Prior military experience
  • Technical certification/degree

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to determine repairs needed for future corrective maintenance work.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical processes.
  • Correctly interpret work orders
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance tasks.
  • Perform basic facility maintenance tasks.
  • Perform basic non-load bearing welds using Mig or Stick welding.
  • Perform daily housekeeping/6S activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the lead, supervisor, or manager.
  • Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • The ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, and decimals.
  • The ability to use basic hand tools, wrenches, etc.
  • The ability to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
  • The ability to navigate the intranet to locate process documents – basic computer skills.
  • The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions.

Working Conditions

  • Constant exposure to indoor/outdoor manufacturing environment
  • Constant exposure to moderate noise
  • Must be able to work any shift including overtime, weekends, and holidays if scheduled.
  • Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds on a repetitive basis.
  • Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level.
  • Must be able to safely operate an overhead crane, boom lift, and man lift.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist, and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to 12 hours.
  • Must be able to wear all the required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery.
  • Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing, and pulling of materials.
  • Visual acuity skill to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected.
