Job Profile
The company is searching for a Maintenance Technician II who will perform varied mechanic repairs and maintenance of machinery and equipment, as well as perform building maintenance, which may include cutting/welding, plumbing, heating, carpentry, snow removal, etc.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Complete all necessary reports as required by standard operating procedures to document work performed, tests carried out on equipment, materials used and reordered, machinery downtime reports, and safety factors discovered or repaired.
- Conducting diagnostic work may be difficult.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on a large variety of machinery and equipment throughout the facility. This may include production equipment, office equipment, and building services equipment (air conditioners, etc.) upon assignment, determine the cause of failure of equipment, and affect an appropriate repair.
- Notify the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead person of needed materials that are not readily available but required for the repair, as well as to reorder supplies used.
- Perform or assist with groundskeeping functions such as landscaping, and clean-up.
- Perform routine housekeeping in and around the maintenance department, as well as areas serviced, to ensure that the areas operate within parameters that conform to pollution and safety standards and requirements.
- Plan and perform assorted building maintenance functions such as carpentry, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and write clearly
- Ability to use various hand and power tools
- Availability on weekends and holidays call-ins or for scheduled maintenance service work as needed
- Good judgment abilities to seek problem-resolution
- Good math skills
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to walk, talk, or hear.
- Occasionally lift or move weight of up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- The majority of the time is spent in the factory where the temperature is not controlled.
- There is also outside work, where you are subject to the elements.
- When in the factory the use of personal protective equipment, (PPE), is required. Minimum PPE consists of safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses. Additional personal protective equipment may be required for specific tasks.

- Must be able to meet daily attendance requirements.
- Must be able to legally accept employment in the United States.
- Must be able to follow all safety rules and regulations.
