Job Profile
The company is looking for a Maintenance Technician II to join its team.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
Work Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience with exposure to plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and machine and equipment repairs required.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and determine the appropriate measures to correct them
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor, including walking, climbing, standing, sitting, and lifting
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints for troubleshooting, repairs, and process and safety improvements
- Answer questions and requests regarding mechanical maintenance
- Ensure maintenance welding and specifying parts needed for proper repairs
- Ensure the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, by listening for problems, or by using precision measuring and testing instruments
- Maintaining accurate records of preventative maintenance schedules, as well as knowledge of general and preventative maintenance procedures
- Oversee crane inspections and repairs
- Perform weekly safety checks to ensure a safe and clean environment and eliminate all hazards
- Possess strong rigging background with a safety background
- Possess VFD and PLC experience preferred
- Possess working knowledge of Low Voltage, 120V, 220 single phase and 230V, 480V Three Phase
- Remove old equipment and installation of new
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work well in a team setting
- Strong working knowledge in Pneumatics and Hydraulics (troubleshooting)
- Understand proper LOTO procedures
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and write clearly.
- Good judgment abilities to seek problem resolution.
- Good math skills.
- Must be available for weekend and holiday call-ins or for scheduled maintenance service work as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently required to walk, talk, or hear.
- Occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Work in both office and manufacturing environments.
- May occasionally be required to perform job responsibilities outside the typical office setting.
