Job Profile

The company is searching for a Maintenance Technician II who will be responsible for working in various areas of the facility for different industrial machines.

Use specialized tools to build and repair machines in the building.

Set up machinery based on highly technical instructions and blueprints and occasionally move machines to different locations.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Industrial Mechanic Associate Degree preferred (i.e. Electronics Engineering Technology)

Work Experience

  • 5 + years of Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
  • 5 + years of Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Align equipment by using specialized tools (e.g. micrometer, dial indicators)
  • Build and repair industrial equipment, including CNC machinery.
  • Collect and store distinct machinery parts.
  • Communicate among the work team by documenting actions and sharing information and knowledge of equipment and processes.
  • Document work, hours, and information in a computerized record-keeping system.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment during scheduled downtime. Equipment includes manual and computer numerically controlled machinery.
  • Perform highly diversified tasks to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment and machinery. These duties include but are not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Record parts and materials used, and order or requisition parts and materials as necessary.
  • Relocate machines inside the facility, either to install or repair them.
  • Repair or replace broken and defective machine parts.
  • Review and follow highly technical and complex machinery manuals.
  • Work with operators and supervisors to assess potential problems or needs as they arise.
  • Work with outside vendors/suppliers in the installation, repair, and adjustment of machinery.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to work off-shift hours and weekends overtime is required
  • Adheres to all department and company standards, operating procedures, and safety requirements while contributing to improvement.
  • An eye for detail
  • Analyzes and troubleshoots reoccurring issues and creates an ROI to support the change.
  • Assists other Technicians in the repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Completes work orders, records, logs, and other written or computer-based documents according to established procedures.
  • Desire to learn a wide variety of skills and machines.
  • Diagnoses mechanical and electrical problems using technical drawings (e.g., blueprints, electronic/mechanical schematics) and diagnostic tools (e.g. multi-meter, laptop)
  • Maintains inventory of spare parts for critical machines
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Occasional mandatory overtime or weekend work
  • Operates material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving machinery, and other powered equipment.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to safety and quality procedures.
