Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Maintenance Technician II who will be responsible for safely and effectively troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining operations and production equipment at a pace that meets production demands.
Responsible for adhering to LCI core values, safety guidelines, and lean initiatives.
Required to request support, as necessary, from other Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance leadership.
All Maintenance positions support operations and production first, when necessary.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Camber Torches – Responsible for diagnosing/maintaining/installing propane and oxygen-fueled torch equipment in a timely fashion
- Doors – Responsible for powering down, raising, and securing overhead doors
- Grounds – Responsible for safe and proficient operation of plowing, salting, mowing, and trimming equipment
- Hoists – Responsible for diagnosing/maintaining/installing production hoists and maintaining bridge cranes in a timely fashion
- Plasma Cutters – Responsible for diagnosing/maintaining/installing production plasma cutting equipment in a timely fashion
- Saws – Responsible for diagnosing/maintaining/installing production band saw and the equipment in a timely fashion
- Welders – Responsible for diagnosing/maintaining/installing welding equipment in a timely fashion
Essential Functions-
- Basic Construction – Able to safely and proficiently perform painting, drywall, framing, and interior trim work tasks
- Basic Electrical – Able to safely and proficiently perform basic troubleshooting and movement of electrical circuits
- Basic Mechanical – Able to safely and proficiently perform basic mechanical troubleshooting and rebuild tasks
- Basic Tools –Able to safely perform maintenance tasks using basic hand tools and basic power tools
- Fork/Aerial Lifts – Able to safely and proficiently operate fork trucks and aerial lifts
- Lighting – Able to safely and proficiently perform basic troubleshooting and installation of lighting systems and lighting fixtures throughout the facility
- Mechanical Systems – Able to safely and proficiently maintain/troubleshoot HVAC, filtration, and pneumatic systems
- Plumbing – Able to safely and proficiently perform basic troubleshooting and installation of plumbing systems and plumbing fixtures throughout the facility
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to successfully pass the LCI OSHA-approved forklift-training course
- Must successfully complete all LCI lean training, as required
- Must successfully complete LCI Arc Flash/Electrical Hazard Training
- Must successfully complete LCI Confined Space Training, as required
- Must successfully complete LCI Fall Hazard Training, as required
- Must successfully complete LCI Lock Out Tag Out Training
- Must successfully complete LCI new hire safety training and refreshers
- Must successfully complete LCI Tabware Technician Training
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic Fabrication – Ability to weld or experience with basic metal fabrication
- Coating – Experience servicing coating or blasting systems
- Concrete – Experience pouring and finishing concrete
- Conveyors – Experience servicing overhead conveyor systems
- Mechanicals – Experience with servicing pneumatic compressors
- Multi Meter – Experience with a meter or other electrical test equipment
- Overhead Doors – Experience diagnosing/resolving issues with overhead doors
- PLC – Education/Experience servicing programmable logic systems
- Repair – Education/Experience with machine operation and repair
- Rigging – Experience rigging and moving equipment with a boom
- Schematics – Ability to read electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic prints
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to interpret manuals and technical drawings
- Basic computer, reading/writing, and communication skills
- Committed to a maintaining positive attitude and caring about people
- Good housekeeping and implementing/sustaining 5s standards
- Highly motivated, organized, self-starter, able to execute work from a daily schedule
- Must be reliable and prompt
- Observation and promotion of all safety rules and policies
- Required to use honesty, integrity, and candor with the entire Maintenance team to create trust, and support their passion for winning
Physical Demands
- May be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, noise, heat, cold, and wet work while performing job duties.
- This position requires Personal Protective Equipment.
- Regularly required to talk and hear.
- Regularly standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, balancing, reaching, handling, and climbing all day.
- May have to lift or move items over 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
