Duties/Responsibilities
- Act as the go-to person for a cohesive team of technicians who are committed to the success of the department.
- Communicate and support the other departments by supporting their successes.
- Develops all technicians to become a valuable part of the team to ensure their skills are at par with warehouse standards and regulations.
- Drives safety and culture and holds team members accountable for compliance.
- Fosters a high degree of morale among associates, including providing feedback, recognition, and rewards.
- Help conduct or delegate shift start-up meetings; communicates information related to culture, safety, production, accuracy, recognition, and facility/HR updates to keep team members informed.
- Identifies measures that can improve various warehouse processes.
- Leads a team to support the day-to-day operations and activities of the facilities effectively and efficiently.
- Maintains and enforces a clean and safe working environment.
- Provides timely, ongoing communication, ensuring the appropriate dissemination of information to department leaders. Prioritizes repairs needed to keep the facility at peak production.
- Works with the Supervisor to ensure appropriate staffing levels. Serves as a backup in the absence of the Supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
