Work Experience

• Must have experience with Manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, drill presses, grinders)-
• Manual: Bridgeport Mills; Knuth Vertical Lathe; South Bend Lathes
• CNC: Haas Mills, Mazak Mill, Mazak Lathe
• G Code programming at the machine

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to use judgment to perform and make decisions about the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures.
• Attend all required site Safety Training sessions.
• Comply with all JBT safety policies and guidelines.
• Manufacture components following routing, work order, verbal and written instructions, prints sketches, charts, tables, and other information relative to the work at hand.
• Operate a variety of machining equipment (lathe, mill, and drill), manual, and CNC.
• Perform job setup requirements.
• Perform required shop arithmetic including decimals and fractions.
• Perform self-inspection and test of parts upon completion of jobs.
• Use precision measuring instruments to ensure the proper fit of components.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must be able to read blueprints
• Must be able to use calipers and micrometers
• Must have own tools (basic tools, veneer, micrometer)
• Required to perform set-up and operation
• Skid-resistant, steel-toe shoes, no shorts
• Will be given a verbal test (given a blueprint and asked how to make the part) and a written basic math test
