Job Profile
The company is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for designing, implementing, reviewing, and improving the processes, procedures, and equipment involved in the manufacturing of Hollow Metal Doors and Frames.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Operations Management, or extensive industry experience as a Manufacturing Engineer.
Work Experience
- 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, engineering, or manufacturing operations.
- Metal fabrication experience preferred with associated processes: stamping, punching, shearing, bending, roll forming, welding, joining, painting, etc.
- Experience with CNC/NC equipment and Automation a plus.
- Project Management experience is a plus.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data to determine manufacturing capacity and make recommendations and plans on the best way to increase capacity.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services and make sure that manufacturers’ procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational.
- Ensure the company’s manufacturing processes comply with all laws and regulations.
- Evaluate quality control processes and make recommendations for improvement in quality control.
- Review and calculate labor, material, supplies, and other production costs with schedules and future production requirements to develop and execute plans to increase quality and reduce cost.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Lean Manufacturing skill set or certification.
