Job Profile

The company is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will help support the manufacturing engineering and maintenance teams.

Work directly with groups to help support projects within the manufacturing plant. This will include projects focused on: cost reduction, quality improvements, and continuous improvement/efficiency improvements.

Educational Level

  • BS in Mechanical/Production Engineering

Work Experience

  • Collegiate projects, internships, and co-ops or 1-year engineering experience in a manufacturing environment

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Budgeting and cost reduction initiatives
  • Capital equipment project management
  • Capital project planning and implementation
  • Collaboration with vendors for the development of production-specific equipment.
  • Crafting equipment specifications for Capital Projects.
  • Develop equipment specifications based on new product development.
  • Development of process layout for improved production efficiency.
  • Implementation and maintenance of Safety requirements for equipment and processes throughout the plant.
  • Oversee maintenance technicians and engineering functions for the building
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineering Manager
  • Performs product/process analysis for cost reductions, quality improvements, and improved efficiency.
  • Product design
  • Provide Technical support and assistance to manufacturing and maintenance team members, production supervisors, and production associates
  • Redesign and rebuild of current manufacturing equipment
  • Self-starter highly motivated
  • Strong interaction with the production department to ensure performance
  • Travels to satellite facilities to install, repair, and improve equipment
  • Work closely with the Product Engineering team in the development of new product implementation
  • Work maintenance to achieve projects, reduce downtime, and improve efficiency.
  • Work with the manufacturing team to establish the sequence of operations used in manufacturing processes.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Knowledge of lean production processes
  • Proficiency in CAD software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • CNC programming experience
  • Sheet metal experience
