Job Profile
The company is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer (Greenfield Project) to join its team.
Education Level
- Bachelor of Science Degree, preferably in Engineering (Manufacturing, Industrial, Agricultural or Mechanical)
Work Experience
- Minimum 6 years of engineering work experience in a manufacturing environment
Duties/Responsibilities
- Analyze, document, investigate, and implement corrections for process failures; and initiate and implement cost reductions.
- Develop and implement capital projects to improve material flow, reduce floor space requirements, and reduce costs. Assist in the development of justification for new capital equipment and manage the installation and startup of the new equipment.
- Establish methods and standards for new/changed parts. Work closely with design engineering and plant operations in developing processes and assist in the development of new products with manufacturing requirements as part of the development process.
- Provide leadership and work with other functions to help the plant meet goals in safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost, and participate in a team environment. Other duties may include the need to establish economical manufacturing routings for a wide range of materials including castings and weldments.
- Provide production support in areas of safety, quality, throughput improvement, line balancing, tooling engineering, inventory management, and cost optimization.
- Provide support and participate in new product launch teams.
- Select the correct tooling for new processes. Lead or assist in the design of new or revised tooling to be used in all phases of the manufacturing process, including fabrication, welding, and assembly. Ability to create a scope of work for vendors and lead through the quoting process
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Willing to travel a minimum of 15%
