Job Profile

The company is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer who will be responsible for developing and monitoring the execution of Continuous Improvement Projects, facilitating the plant’s Kaizen events, monitoring the execution of the JCMS Action plan, and managing savings projects to meet the annual plan.

Education Level

Work Experience

  • 3 years of suggested minimum experience
  • Basic knowledge of Mfg 4.0
  • Basic statistical knowledge and ability to apply statistics to product and process improvement projects.
  • Computer knowledge and mastery of the use and application of programs such as Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Solid understanding of lean principles and project management.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Apply the essential behaviors of Organizational Health to be a model of this culture and be an agent of change within the company.
  • As required, support the organization as a mentor (coach) in the execution of CI Projects.
  • As required, support the organization as a trainer in Lean Manufacturing tools. (5S, Value Chain Mapping, Yamazumi, Std Work, Kaizen, TPM, Quick Change Over, Kanban, Heijunka, Problem-Solving with A3/PDCA/8Ds)
  • Coordinate and implement savings projects to achieve the annual goal focused on conversion costs.
  • Develop and coordinate CAPEX projects until their capitalization process is on time.
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement of Kaizen events within the Plant.
  • Implementation of Continuous Improvement Projects using the A3 tool and Hoshin Kanri.
  • In conjunction with New Product Engineering, participate in the planning, management, implementation, and control of the launch of new products following the JCI std process.
  • Lay out, design, Line Balancing/Yamazumi, Standardized Work, Rapid Model Changes, Kanban for raw materials & Subassemblies, TPM Practices, Kaizen Events, Poka Yokes, and Process Mapping.
  • Lead the action plan and execution of MP’s actions for compliance with the JCMS manufacturing system.
  • Manage the continuous improvement and financial tracker using priority tools
  • Participate in the design of the Manufacturing process for the introduction of new products with a focus on design for manufacturing (DFM).
  • Participate in the development of Mfg 4.0 applications in current processes and new products. Digitization, Automation, and Integration.
  • Responsible for communicating and publishing to senior Management the monthly results of Continuous Improvement projects (cost-out).
  • Responsible for managing and coordinating with project owners the support of continuous improvement tools for project execution.
  • Responsible for the JCMS principles as a facilitator for Champions and backups
  • Rigorously apply the comprehensive Quality, Safety, and Environment management system.
  • Support Engineering in the Launch of new products by applying Lean Mfg tools to have a continuous flow that allows for achieving the goal of Service, Quality, and Safety.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification such as Green Belt
  • Experience in executing improvement projects
  • Experience in SPC and General Manufacturing Processes
  • Extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
  • Use of AutoCAD/Visio

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to Influence others without authority to achieve results
  • Be passionate about the Lean philosophy and continuous improvement.
  • Highly effective leadership and program management skills, able to manage both vertically and horizontally.
  • Verbal, written, and presentation skills.
