Job Profile
The company is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer who will drive the precision and efficiency of shaft machining operations.
Support manufacturing operations, develop and optimize CNC programs, ensure quality standards are met, and lead continuous improvement projects.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (preferably Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering major) and 5+ years of related experience
Work Experience
- Experience in CNC programming with Esprit Edge (or similar CAM software)
- Experience with multi-axis mill/turn CNC equipment
- Hands-on experience in machining operations, automation systems maintenance, and tooling applications
- QA/QC experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- CNC Programming: Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using Esprit Edge
- Continuous Improvement: Lead and participate in CIP projects to optimize manufacturing processes and part production.
- Customer Certification Management: Manage quality certificates, compile customer documentation packages, and ensure accurate retrieval and editing from SAP.
- Gaging and Calibration: Procure, qualify, and maintain gaging equipment; manage calibration schedules and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Machine Support: Provide hands-on floor support and troubleshooting for machinists, addressing machine/process issues to ensure smooth production.
- Non-Conforming Parts Management: Oversee the identification, segregation, and disposition of non-conforming parts; issue quality notifications (QNs) and work with suppliers to resolve recurring quality issues.
- Process Optimization: Detect and implement opportunities for process improvements to increase production efficiency and product quality.
- Quality Documentation: Develop and implement quality procedures and work instructions to ensure compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.
- Standard Work Development: Develop and document standard operating procedures, work instructions, and machining standards.
- VOC: Acts as the voice of the customer and Manufacturing Engineering during daily accountability meetings
