Job Profile

The company is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer who will perform complex activities for the development, implementation, and Continuous Improvement of the manufacturing process, by utilizing sound engineering methods in accordance with product specifications and Civacon quality standards.

Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods, and controls. Coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products.

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience of at least 6 years

Work Experience

  • Production Planning Process (3P) experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to foresee common manufacturing difficulties and plan options. Demonstrate leadership in the assigned group of processes. Develop standard work and lead Continuous Improvement projects to achieve predetermined goals.
  • Application of Lean Principles and concepts to develop a process. Must be able to improve manufacturing processes to meet the goals of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
  • Assure all engineering notices are processed correctly and on time.
  • Attends meetings as needed to support organizational activity. Interfaces with customers as required. Performs other duties, as assigned, to achieve corporate and departmental objectives.
  • Determines and specifies, revises or reviews the most efficient and cost-effective methods, operation sequence, and tooling for the fabrication of parts, finishing and assembly components, and subassemblies for final products.
  • Manage justification, schedule, and budget for Capital Expenditure Projects. Provide input for manufacturing assembly costs and equipment recommendations.
  • Prepare and present plans for the above and coordinate the deployment of project plans.
  • Provide Leadership, process data, drawings, and schedules for Tool Design, CNC Programming, and the Maintenance department.
  • Provides finalized details for manufacturing processing costs for new product quotes. Interfaces with Product Engineering for the design and development of new products. Assure new products go through the design for manufacturing process before release and before finalization of tooling to reduce cost and delivery.
  • Guides lower-level manufacturing engineers, tool designers, and technicians in various projects and responsibilities.
  • Provides technical guidance and liaison to product operations, assists the supervisor on new techniques, and may assist in the determination of causes of rejected parts and their disposition.
  • Work closely with the cost department in assuring all costs, processes, and routings are input into Oracle in the most expedient manner possible for all newly released products.
