The company is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer II with Manufacturing Engineering, GTAW welding, and CNC Machining experience that can demonstrate.
Education Level
- Typically requires a Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and a minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience OR
- An Advanced Degree in a related field or the absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to work without direct guidance or with minimal direction from others.
- Conduct self-quality audits/perform first-piece inspections and subsequent inspections on all work
- Contributes to the team or department by applying knowledge of one or more functional areas
- Controls manufacturing documentation including creating and updating BOMs, routings, build instructions, labor standards, and visual aids
- Develops and maintains Standard Work processes and procedures necessary for efficient and compliant manufacturing
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are completed with TPM boards kept up-to-date
- Interprets Manufacturing Work Orders, Re-work Instructions, and work requests to complete work as assigned
- Machine and assemble components to produce a variety of tooling and fixtures
- Must adhere to all EH& S regulations and policies as well as attend related training courses
- Must be comfortable accepting ownership of processes and communicating priorities to the manufacturing team, while satisfying the needs and concerns of the stakeholders
- Perform precision Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, generate weld schedules, and operate tig-welding equipment
- Provide status at program meetings (weekly, daily, or as needed to meet commitments)
- Provides technical assistance to production operators including troubleshooting products and equipment within the manufacturing environment
- Provides the manufacturing operators with all the necessary tooling, fixtures, and documentation to build the product in the most efficient manner which includes working to improve the build processes
- Reads and interprets drawings, sketches, and blueprints including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
- Recommends new equipment and processes intending to reduce cycle time, labor hours, and WIP
- Sets up machine shop equipment and machines a wide variety of hardware as requested
- Set up and operate CNC mills, Machining Centers, or Lathes to produce a variety of complex aerospace hardware to close tolerances.
- Understand AWS D17.2, Specification for Resistance Welding for Aerospace Applications
- Verifies dimensions, alignments, and clearances following specifications
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred Qualifications
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience in Tig Welding, Resistance Spot Welding, and use of Toolmakers Microscope a plus
- Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques a plus
- Machine Shop Technology degree a plus or any certificates such as (Tool & Die Certification, CNC qualification, etc.)
