Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer II (CNC Machining) who will provide professional service within a formal manufacturing process or a major project.
Facilitate product change and implement activities related to design, validation, sourcing, tooling, and pilot introductions.
Support in the adaptation of global product preparation processes into Powertrain Hagerstown as necessary to manage current and future products.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (college/university) or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience
Work Experience
- Possess a minimum of 8 years of applicable experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
- Experience preferably in manufacturing or project field.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Fulfill project manager responsibilities according to the Volvo Powertrain Global (EEM) Early Equipment Management or (PSM) Project Steering Model processes, utilizing the Volvo Technical Specifications to deliver equipment to the Volvo standard
- Leader in a cross-functional team – to establish breakthrough improvements in manufacturing industrial and product projects while maintaining an efficient reporting status of product/process implementation insuring adherence to established policies and procedures
- Review, participate in, insure production readiness, and co-ordinate implementation of new designs and changes in the manufacturing facilities
- With minimal general direction, identify and actively pursue specific opportunities to increase the quality and speed of the product/supplier change processes while respecting key financial considerations

- Be committed to the teamwork environment by being a resourceful team player.
- Maintaining collaborative relationships with team members internal and external is key to creating a successful and strong team.
- Experience with decision-making and influencing ability is key in being about to driving the implementation and necessary changes.
- Excellent communication skills will ease both team and cross-functional work for allowing trustworthy network building.
