Job Profile

The company is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor who will be responsible for providing supervision and leadership on the shop floor and direction to the day shift supervisors, while being an innovator of positive change that favors safety, quality, profitability, on-time delivery, and lead-time.

Education Level

  • Not mentioned, a High School Diploma (a plus)

Work Experience

  • 5+ years in a supervisory role or managing people.
  • 10+ years in a manufacturing environment or equivalent work and leadership experience.
  • Experience with CNC machining and or CNC programming (a plus)

License/Certification

  • US Citizenship (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to open or secure and close the plant as required.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts depending on the company’s needs.
  • Behave continuously and consistently with desired CIRCOR Operating System values and characteristics.
  • Coaches employees through personal growth initiatives and supports their career development.
  • Collaborates with team members to support continual improvement of the CIRCOR EH&S Management System.
  • Communicate and facilitate meetings effectively.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the completion of hazard assessments, audits, and inspections, including but not limited to Job Hazard Analysis, PPE, ergonomic, machine guarding, confined space, fall protection, and process risk assessments.
  • Create and deploy communications (alerts, toolbox talks, email, etc.) to inform and educate employees.
  • Develop production plans, identify capacity constraints, and take action to achieve goals.
  • Develop Training Plans for all new hires. Regularly communicate with trainees and assess onboarding progress on a weekly basis.
  • Drive a culture that focuses on facts, tangible results, and behaviors.
  • Drive engagement throughout their respective areas.
  • Drive the use of Lead Daily Measures within respective areas to achieve departmental goals.
  • Ensures efficient utilization of plant personnel and equipment to meet productivity and cost effectiveness goals.
  • Ensures the safety of all personnel on their team through continually reducing risk and reinforcing safety behaviors/competencies.
  • Generate daily/weekly/monthly reports to effectively communicate program contributions, on-time delivery, continuous improvement efforts, and manufacturing issues and needs.
  • Identify and implement programs that improve safety, on-time delivery, labor efficiency, and reduce internal scrap/rework.
  • Identify and resolve issues skillfully and on time.
  • Lead Kaizens as necessary and appropriate
  • Participate in incident investigations, root cause determination, and mistake-proofing actions as required.
  • Reinforce Quality Processes and procedures, and enforce quality standards.
  • Support the site Security Plan, and Emergency Planning and Response Process, compliance and legal requirements, and pollution prevention initiatives.
  • Work with all functional departments to actively pursue manufacturing excellence programs along with fostering a “one Plant” partnership with peers to achieve aligned goals.
  • Accepts other responsibilities as needed to achieve plant objectives

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to effectively organize several distinct functions, establish levels of responsibility, delegate appropriate authority, and review the work and performance of subordinates in a manner conducive to efficient performance and high morale.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of employees, across all functions of the organization, including customers and suppliers.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive and accurate reports, forecasts, and communicate results across shifts.
  • Experience with Lean tools and driving continuous improvement
  • Familiarity or experience with manufacturing, machining, team leadership, driving metric-based performance, providing feedback, and driving continuous improvement.
