Job Profile

The company is hiring a Material Handler to join its team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Work Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of experience operating a large forklift
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Experience operating heavy equipment (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ability to self-supervise at times but communicate with Supervisor as needed
  • Check for damage or defect of product during processes and report
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Establish priorities and reorder priorities when necessary
  • Follow all required processes, procedures, and regulations
  • Maintain a safe and productive working environment by wearing required personal protective equipment including a seatbelt and following facility safety regulations at all times
  • Make recommendations to resolve any damage or defects found in products
  • Move or load products such as large structures/poles
  • Operate 30,000 to 40,000 lb. capacity forklift in a safe, secure, and productive manner
  • Operate on outside terrain in a variety of weather conditions
  • Willingness to assist in other areas of shipping/receiving when needed.

Work Environment

  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs,
  • Able to stand, walk, climb, sit, bend, squat, stoop, push, pull, reach, grasp, hold, and carry for various periods
  • Able to wear department-required PPE: Hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, reflective vest and other specific PPE (seat belt), long sleeves, long pants, steel-toed boots with built-in met guards
