Job Profile

The company is searching for a Mechanic who will perform diagnostic tests on diesel vehicles to find faults, analyze diagnostic test results, and repair or replace engine, steering, transmission, braking, or lighting system components.

Education Level

Work Experience

  • Possess work-related experience (a plus)

License/Certification

  • ASE Diesel Certification (advantageous)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
  • Analyzing diagnostic test results
  • Checking vehicle lighting systems
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of the shop
  • Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
  • Performing preventative maintenance on service trucks
  • Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions, and braking systems
  • Running diagnostic tests on vehicles
  • Test driving vehicles to gauge performance

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
  • Aptitude for mathematics and science
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good IT and diagnostic skills
  • Good organization skills
  • Physically fit and able to lift to 150 pounds
  • Proficiency with maintenance and repair tools
  • Valid driver’s license
