Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Mechanic III who will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and major inspections on corporate aircraft.
Work across our specialized airframe teams, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft components.
Additionally, perform engine removal and reinstallation, operational checks, leak checks, and engine runs.
Education Level
- Completion of High School or Equivalent
Work Experience
- Minimum 5 years of aviation experience on Turbine Engines
License/Certification
- A current/valid FAA Powerplant License (preferred, not required)
- Must be authorized to work in the US
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assemble engine components or assemblies.
- Closely adhere to all company safety, FAA, and any other regulations, as applicable.
- Complete relevant paperwork to ensure accuracy.
- De-stack/disassemble engine components or accessories.
- Final release process – checking the product for compliance.
- Identifying the status of the engine component and determining if any outstanding modification or airworthiness directive needs to be incorporated.
- Prepare parts to get cleaned and repaired, clean, inspect, repair parts, and balance as required.
- Reads technical specifications to identify product discrepancies and deficiencies.
- Record and take measurements while dismantling, and document with pictures as required.
- Route repairable parts to the appropriate area and place orders as required.
- Strong Inspection skills with engine modules and engine components.
- Work independently and as a team to achieve maximum quality.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Advanced understanding of manuals and technical data.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and plan work activities in an organized manner.
- Proficient in the induction and dismantling of engines/components.
- Signs off on other mechanics in skills once proficient.
- Thorough knowledge, can easily find/interpret instructions, and act as a resource to other mechanics.
Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (unassisted) for approximately 25% of the average workday.
