Job Profile

The company is seeking a Welder/Fabricator who will conduct repairs on aluminum petroleum and dry bulk interstate transport trailers.

Utilizes and implements acquired knowledge, experience, and skill to perform welding and mechanical tasks to produce or repair tank trailers and tank trailer parts.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED (required)

Work Experience

• Working mechanical knowledge and basic welding skills
• Aluminum Welding experience (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Communicate issues of concern and any other pertinent information that affects the productive completion of quality products, schedule of products, and safety to inventory and production management.
• Follow all company safety rules and practices.
• Perform assignment of work to contribute to material, parts, and products produced according to MAC Trailer Service and MAC Trailer quality and quantity standards, while supporting a safe work environment.
• Perform daily custom build/repair and welding assignments.
• Perform Mechanical tasks such as repairing or replacing necessary material, drilling holes in frame or body, installing reflective tape, replacing suspension(s) and repair, brake replacement or adjustment, utilizing various power tools to facilitate.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards and compliance benefits.
